Not Another Liquor Store!
Our community faces another challenge to our vision of economic diversity and prosperity. A developer wants to put in a liquor store in the closed Walgreens at Covington and Hairston, 5395 Covington Hwy, Stone Mountain. We deserve diversity of businesses that cater to the needs of the wide array of interests of this community. This isn't a fight against existing businesses, but a plea for balance.
There are many ways to let elected officials know your opinion.
1. Sign this petition to say "No" to another liquor store and "Yes" to a more diverse and vibrant future.

2. Send your comments to the DeKalb Planning Department as well as:
Planning Commissioners: [email protected]
Commissioner Mereda Davis-Johnson, District 5, [email protected]
Commissioner LaDena Bolton, District 7, [email protected]
3. Attend the Protests May 30th and June 6th, 3 pm – 6 pm.
A group called United Neighbors for a Strong Community is organizing the protests. Meet on the public sidewalks of all 4 corners of Hairston/Covington Hwy. For more information, contact Dawn Foster at [email protected] and John McMillion at [email protected].
4. Attend the public meetings. The District 5 Community Council meeting is June 8, 6:30pm via Zoom. The Planning Commission hears the case on Zoom July 7, 6 p.m. Links will be provided closer to the date. The Board of Commissioners hears it in person July 23, 5:30 pm at 178 Sams Street, Decatur..

Our Vision
The Vision of Hidden Hills is to have a community where the structure is democratic and inclusive and where all homeowners have the opportunity to participate and contribute in addressing issues that are relevant to the protection of our property values and the well-being of our neighborhood. Maintenance of individual property is a priority. There is widespread support for the Hidden Hills Civic Association (HHCA) from homeowners through active participation, membership fees and maintenance of common areas. The leadership is strong, active and involved in the wider community and realtors, developers, agencies and entrepreneurs receive the Association’s support for local economic development initiatives. The schools in the community offer quality education and there is a supportive relationship between the school and Hidden Hills Community. The phases within Hidden Hills are tightly knit, the families are involved including our youth and our elderly and where there are family friendly amenities.
Hidden HIlls of Stone Mountain welcomes you to our website where you will find all the latest news and information about the Hidden Hills Community. Please join us at our community meetings every 1st Tuesday @ 7pm and get involved in the discussions around your community and positive changes we will make together.
